Having been engaged with the health and wellness of the veterans residing at Inner Voice‘s Eddie Beard Vet House (EBVH) in Chicago, URB hosted a lunch in honor of the Vet House residents’ service to our country.
Wanting to provide the EBVH veterans with a memorable meal and moments, URB chief operating officer Samantha (Sam) Blazey facilitated the lunch with EBVH director Halbert Williams and she worked with a private chef to provide a fabulous feast.
“To honor Eddie Beard Vet House veterans’ service to our country by being of service was very rewarding,” expressed Sam. “After giving so much in service and sacrifice, EBVH veterans were thanking us when we were trying to thank them.”
Joining Sam in honoring EBVH veterans were URB president Brian Urbanowski and URB property specialist Kim Chernik.
In the spring, URB will continue to be a United Relief Foundation’s Hope and Help Patron in Eddie Beard Vet House health and wellness project and encourage others to join them in making a difference for veterans.
Located in Chicago, the Eddie Beard Vet House is an Inner Voice Chicago transitional housing, case management, and supportive service facility that provides 35 male Veterans experiencing homelessness with a safe, comfortable environment where they can live for up to 24 months.
