The holiday season is often associated with generosity and giving and both continue to be abundantly evident during the United Relief Foundation’s ‘Tis the Season of Service campaign, which ends December 31, 2023.

Designated for women veterans, donated new backpacks stuffed with new hats, gloves, scarves, and personal care products to the ‘Tis the Season of Service campaign were delivered to National Women Veterans United president Rochelle Crump by United Relief Foundation president Frank Salato.

The significance of this and other ‘Tis the Season of Service campaign donations is to help women veterans in need of immediate assistance and to bring awareness to how being united can address the particular support, economic, and housing challenges military women face today and tomorrow.

“With women veterans, in general, facing significant support, economic and housing challenges and being the fast-growing fastest growing group in the veteran population, the more opportunities to come together, the more women veterans in need we can serve and the more differences we will make,” commented United Relief Foundation president Frank Salato.  “Today many more women veterans in need we served because of the volunteerism and donation of backpacks, hats, gloves, scarves, and personal care products to the ‘Tis the Season of Service campaign from URB, inc. president Brian Urbanowski’s Philanthropic Activities Connecting with Charitable Causes efforts.”

In 2024, the United Relief Foundation’s “Women are Veterans too!” efforts will include One Voice One Vision engagements regarding the National Women Veterans United’s new Sgt Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran’s Center undertaking to be able to support more of the women who have served, are serving, and planning to serve in the United States Military!

Illinois’ only military women veterans center, the Sgt. Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran’s Center was opened in Chicago on September 7, 2019, by the National Women Veterans United.

The Sgt. Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran’s Center continues to be of faithful service. However, a larger facility will be required to address the immediate and long-term needs of the women who have served, are serving, and are planning to serve in the United States Military!
