Helping Hand for People Experiencing Homelessness: Making a Profound Impact so ALL Chicagoans Can Live a More Meaningful Life!

The 2022 PIT (Point In Time) Count estimated 3,875 people experiencing homelessness in Chicago. The count identified 2,612 individuals experiencing homelessness residing in shelters and 1,263 people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

URB has been directly involved in providing Chicago individuals and families experiencing homelessness with the hope and help essential for anyone to live a more meaningful life.

The top four main causes of homelessness are lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, and struggles with substance abuse.
